On behalf of The Olivia Medici Memorial Run/Walk Committee, we’d like to invite you back for the 2nd annual event. Race information is as follows.
ABOUT THE EVENT
Welcome to the 2nd Annual Olivia Medici Memorial 5k/10k Run and 5k Walk. This is a race dedicated to 5½-year-old Olivia Medici, who lost her life in November 2006 to an extremely rare genetic disorder called Sanfilippo (MPS III, type A). All proceeds of the event will directly benefit Duke University Hospital’s Family Support Program in North Carolina (where Olivia was transplanted and lived for six months) and to OHSU/Doernbecher Children’s Hospital (where Olivia’s follow-up care was performed). Last year (our first year), we had a wonderful turnout and raised $16,000 for these special families. We hope you’ll join us again for another amazing event!
When: Sunday, April 27, 2008, rain or shine
Where: Corner of 8505 Creekside Place and Stratus, next to the Old Fanno Farmhouse in Beaverton, Oregon
All ages welcome, strollers too
ENTRY FEES
- $25 registration fee (includes commemorative T-shirt if pre-registered by Monday, April 21).
- $30 “Day Of” registration fee (T-shirt NOT included)
Additional T-shirts available for $10 while supplies last - CHILDREN 12 AND UNDER FREE (T-shirts not included)
STARTING TIMES
7:30am — Day of registration and check-in
8:45am — 10K run begins
9:00am — 5K run/walk begins
9:30am — Family fun and festivities
