Today is Lori’s birthday! I couldn’t find a clever poem to honor her big day, so I wrote a very un-clever limerick myself.
It is time once again to eat cake
And a big celebration to make
Get your champagne or beer
Because Lori’s so dear
Toasts all around, now partake.
This was actually better than my first attempt, which rhymed “Lori” with “chicken cacciatore.”
For really and for true, my wonderful friend, I hope you have a fabulous day that's all about YOU.
You're so very sweet. You could have used Elaine's pre-kick dance toast "Here's to those that wish us well and those you don't can go to hell." :)
