Sep. 7: Big love, indeed

This is a reality show I will watch (the first episode, anyway). It’s so bad and wrong and weird and hard to believe these are real people. Freaks, yes, but real people. Yikes.

  1. Kinda like watching a train wreck...can't look away, but ouch! I'll try to stay up to watch, fall asleep when it starts and wake up when it is over. I should ask Santa for TiVo, huh?

  2. AAAACK! You're outing my morbid fascination; I LOVE it! Go ahead and call me sick.
There was a 20/20 years ago that focused on a family like this where there were working moms-- one was a physician-- and stay-at-home moms who cooked and cleaned for their realtor husband and the working moms. Hmmm. Now that's appealing.

Scott will tell you I have a sick fascination with this practice and my favorite show on HBO is Big Love. He cringes; the result of growing up in Utah.

Too bad there's NO WAY I could put up with the divided love/attention/time part of it. I do like the idea that I could work 12 hours a day and come home to a cooked meal, clean house and happy kid. Ahhh.
Alas, I wouldn't have the stomach to share my dear man. He's all mine, mine, mine. I guess what I really need is a housekeeper and cook. Or perhaps I should just be a little less OCD about perfect meals and polished baseboards.
