My mom rescued a shepherd mix puppy today! He needs a name. She already made the mistake of asking Katie and Jack for ideas; so far Jack has suggested Brownie, Chocolatey, and all of the Star Wars characters. I'm pretty sure Mom wants to go with something a little more imaginative and/or less Star Wars-y. Help her out! Share your ideas in a comment.
Here's his pic for inspiration:
By the way, Mom, Kathy and I have veto power over names like "Little One" and "Kitters." Let's not make that kind of mistake again, mmkay?

How about Will Turner (in honor of several people: Orlando Bloom, Jack, etc.)?
ReplyDeleteHow 'bout McGillicuddy and call him Gilly for short? I mean, growing up, I thought everyone's last name was McGillicuddy!
ReplyDeleteMom's a big Johnny Depp fan, Sheila, so that ain't a bad idea!
ReplyDeleteMcGillicuddy just does NOT roll off the tongue, though. Can you imagine Mom yelling that down the street as he takes another dump in the cop's yard? I do love GILLY though.

Katie and I vote for GILLY. We already have nicknames for him: “Silly Gilly,” “Wiggly/Wriggly/Squiggly Gilly,” “Willy Nilly Gilly” (for when he runs away), “Chilly Gilly” (for when he’s been outside too long), “Fusilli Gilly” (if someone ever fashions his likeness in pasta), “Milli Vanilli Gilly” (if he starts up a lip-synching Grammy-surrendering band), “Chantilly Gilly” (if he takes a liking to expensive lace)…
ReplyDeleteHow about Buddy or Bubba...he has the sweetest face:).
