Here’s yet another meme that’s going around, and I have to work today so this is all you’re getting until I get home.
- The phone rings. Who will it be?
Victor or Mom or work - When done shopping at the grocery store, do you return your cart?
Always. NOT returning carts is one of my pet peeves. - A really great salad must have this ingredient:
BACON! (like you needed to ask) - Do you take compliments well?
Not at all - What is something that people are currently “into” that you just don’t get or appreciate?
All that fantasy stuff—wizards, vampires, hobbits, etc. No offense to anyone, it just doesn’t appeal to me in the least. - What is something that really hoists your sail that other people might feel “ho-hum” about?
Broadway musicals, but only CRAZY people wouldn’t love them like I do… - Do you play Sudoku?
Yup - If abandoned alone in the wilderness, would you survive?
Not for more than a few minutes - Did you ever go to camp as a kid?
Yes, and I actually loved it. I went three summers in a row to Big Lake Youth Camp, did a week at outdoor school in sixth grade, and several weekend school things at various camps in high school. - What was your favorite game as a kid?
I loved Monopoly—not the competition part, just the collecting and strategy part. The game I’ve always hated is Pictionary, because I can’t draw a thing and I’m so worried about angering my teammates. - Could you date someone with different religious beliefs than you?
Could and did - Use three words to describe yourself.
Tired, achy, happy - Do any songs make you cry?
Way. Too. Many. - Do you know how to shoot a gun?
Yes. I choose not to. - What is the first thing you do when you get home?
Turn on my laptop - Have you ever taken pictures in a photo booth?
Not for years, but always loved it - How often do you read books?
Always - Which of the seven deadly sins are you guilty of (lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath, envy, and pride)?
Most often? Sloth, I guess. Possibly gluttony. - Do you think more about the past, present or future?
Future - Share a fun memory you made with a roommate.
So hard to choose. There are a LOT of good ones. Shevaun and I hung mistletoe in our doorway during Christmas Open House in the girls’ dorm our freshman year and we kissed SO MANY guys! Then Victor showed up and I fa-reaked—obviously, this was when I thought of him only as That Guy My Sister Went Out With Four Years Ago. - What is your favorite children’s book?
In my own childhood, I loved Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle, Amelia Bedelia, and everything by Richard Scarry. For my own kids, the Olivia series is adorable and Captain Underpants gives me the giggles. - What are your most common nicknames?
Jen, Jen-Jen - What color are your eyes?
Ba-lew - How tall are you?
5 feet, 8 inches - Do you like mustard?
Meh. - Where is your dream house located?
On a hill with a beautiful view of San Francisco out one side and Paris out the other. - If your house was on fire, what would be the first thing you’d grab?
I should grab my scrapbooks. I’d probably grab something stupid, like a box of VHS movies or that one pen I like. - Where was the farthest place you traveled to today?
I’m going up to the hospital to work, about ten miles north of here.
