The movies I’ve seen that are nominated for Oscars this year:
- The Dark Knight (I liked it)
- WALL-E (I liked it)
- Presto (I loved it)
That is all.
Because I’m a big loser. And it seems I only get to see movies that are rated G and sometimes PG and they are almost never nominated for awards because they suck.
But tomorrow I’m seeing Milk with The Lovely Lori. On Sunday I’ll probably be rooting for Milk to win in every category, even if I hate it.

I'm liking Frost/Nixon a lot. And it's not just because I wrote a letter to Pres. Nixon when I was 5 and my picture (and letter) were in the Modesto Bee (along with my home address for any child molester who might need it...). As you may know, I'm now a recovering Republican but this President holds a spot in my heart. :)
ReplyDeleteKim and I saw Slumdog Millionaire on Saturday night. It rawked!
ReplyDeleteI've seen:
ReplyDeleteBolt (liked it a lot)
The Dark Knight (loved it)
Hellboy 2 (liked it)
Iron Man (loved it)
Kung Fu Panda (liked it)
Wall-E (it was fine but not as good as I thought it would be)
My daughter Kate and niece Megan and I saw Coraline in 3D this weekend. It was really cool, first of all the glasses are real glasses, not the cardboard ones with one blue lens and one red. I kept slipping them up to see how the film would look without them...just a little blurry in parts. The story is interestingly dark and could make for some good nightmares. I was amazed that there were so many little children there. Maybe little ones are less sensitive to scary things now. If you go, leave your glasses on for the credits...very clever. Kate sent me a link to the artist who knitted the teensy tiny little sweaters and striped mittens on sewing needles. I've lost the link, when I find it I'll share.
